Siemens Mobility Portugal is a dynamic and innovative organization specializing in advanced mobility solutions. We empower our customers with valuable insights derived from IoT data generated by rail assets.

We are actively seeking a Scrum Master with expertise in Agile methodologies, particularly SAFe, to lead Agile transformations and promote a culture of collaboration and efficiency within our team.


Position Overview

:

As Scrum Master you are a servant leader and coach for Agile teams. You lead the team performance. You facilitate team events and processes, and support teams and Agile Release Trains in delivering value. You act as a trainer with regards to Scrum, Built-in-Quality, Kanban, and SAFe and ensure that the agreed Agile processes are followed and continuously improved. You help to remove impediments and foster an environment of growth, strong team dynamics, and continuous flow.

Key Responsibilities

:

  • Facilitate and lead Agile ceremonies (e.g., Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives) for multiple Agile teams in an international setting.
  • Coach and mentor teams and individuals in Agile principles, values, and practices, promoting collaboration, transparency, and selforganization.
  • Serve as a link between the product owner and the development team, ensuring clear understanding and prioritization of product backlog items.
  • Collaborate with partners to identify and resolve impediments that may hinder the team's progress, promoting a proactive problemsolving attitude.
  • Implement metrics to monitor and report on progress of activities
  • Coach and train the team on Agile frameworks, especially Scrum, SAFe and Kanban. Continuously evolve agile methods in alignment with other Scrum Masters and the Release Train Engineer.
  • Facilitate effective communication within the team and across teams, ensuring alignment and coordinated efforts towards common objectives.
  • Advocate for Agile principles and practices within the organization, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Act as mentor to support the personal development of team members, helping them gain a continuous learning mentality. Guide people to find solutions to their problems independently, instead of giving the answers.
  • Facilitating PI Planning and Iteration Execution in context of SAFe: Ensuring PI readiness together with the product owner, guide the team through the PI Planning event, act as bridge to other teams, support the team in creating PI objectives, evolve the team's understanding on Definition of Ready and Definition of Done, ensuring the agreed common cadence of team iterations (2 weeks) and planning intervals (10 weeks)

Qualifications

:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification (e.g., PMI-ACP, Scrum Alliance, SAFe SM) strongly preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile software development environments
  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and its principles
  • Excellent interpersonal, intercultural, and communication skills, with a strong ability to influence and facilitate collaborative decisionmaking, conflict management and mentoring
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fastpaced, evolving, growing, and multifaceted environment
  • English skills: business fluent
