The Role:
As a Backend Engineer - Release Engineering at Critical Manufacturing, you will be part of a development team and your main focus will be to guarantee the smooth and successful release of our software, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams like DevOps.
What you'll do:
- Manage and optimize container orchestration solutions, including Docker Swarm, OpenShift and Kubernetes, to support the deployment and scaling of applications in a dynamic environment
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (or similar tools) to automate and streamline the software release process
- Work closely with development teams to ensure that DevOps practices align with the software development lifecycle and enable rapid and reliable releases
- Participate in the development of the software solution we deliver to our customers
- Innovate, propose new ideas and define the technical approach to challenging problems
What you must have:
- More than 4 years of experience in software development and/or release management
- Experience of CI/CD pipelines and release automation tools (preferably Azure DevOps)
- Experience of Docker and container orchestration (Swarm / Kubernetes / OpenShift)
- Excellent knowledge of objectoriented programming and backend technologies (preferably C# / .Net)
- Experience with source control tools (preferably Git)
- Knowledge of relational database concepts and SQL
- Good English skills – spoken and written
- Detailoriented with strong analytical, troubleshooting and problemsolving skills
What we consider a plus (not mandatory):
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server always-on configuration and deployment
- Knowledge of web technologies and frameworks (preferably Javascript/Typescript and Angular)
- Experience with unit testing frameworks
- Knowledge of agile software development methodologies
