Front Office Manager

We are looking for a Front Office Manager to join our 5 star hotel in an international group, located in the stunning Madeira Island

What we need:

  • Passion for hospitality and proven experience of at least 2 years in a similar role
  • Customer orientated attitude and in depth knowledge of customer service
  • Proficiency in speaking and writing in Portuguese & English, basic German, French is a plus
  • Careful presentation
  • Proactive, with a sense of initiative and teamwork
  • Sense of responsibility and autonomy
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
  • Knowledge in operational systems

Main Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Be part of the opening team and guarantee a smooth and well organized operation
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
  • Run and collaborate with the entire Front-Office team, including reception, concierge service and reservations
  • Solve customer complaints from all areas of the hotel, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism
  • Identify talents, lead, train and build team spirit in a huge team
  • Monitor the quality and financial KPIs
  • Address guests' service needs and deal with specific customer requests
  • Coordinate the inventory of the staff accommodation
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other departments and colleagues
  • Take action in all matters related to the safety, security, satisfaction and wellbeing of hotel guests
