Category Production Planner to join our Above the Market Supply Planning team. In this position, you will directly report to R&G Supply Lead for Nescafe EMENA. You will have an opportunity to make a difference by leveraging supply planning capabilities, collaborating in dynamic environment and supporting Category objectives. Your mission will be to build production plans respecting the agreed level of available capacity to ensure that finished goods are available with high freshness, at the right stock location to meet customer demand whilst minimizing cost. The scope covers R&G SKUs produced in Porto factory and sold locally or via IMS channel.

A day in the life of a Junior Category Production Planner
- Establishes an 18month production plan for the factories within the scope of responsibility (including sub/contracting and/or comanufacturing where relevant) ensuring continuous product availability in all Receiving locations;
- Establishes Committed Capacity, including timing proposals for plant shutdowns, investments etc.;
- Provides information on labour requirements through Committed Capacity;
- Creates a feasible and optimal production plan that respects capacity defined (available capacity);
- Signalizes and effectively addreses all potentail capacity issues in proper advance;
- Identifies possible opportunities and improvements in collaboration with the factory within the 18month horizon balancing flexibility and reliability;
- Coordinates AVC (Annual Volumes Commitment) consolidation, volume Forecast Affiliates and is SPOC for Market Controlling;
- Contribute to cross functional planning activities such as MPR according to Best Practice;
- Actively supports the Strategic Volume Planning process (i.e. Capex Planning) by providing capacity simulations, scenario planning and contingency proposals.
What will make you successful
- University Degree in Engineering and Industrial Management, Management or any other related field
- Up to 2 years of operational experience in Supply Chain, Demand and/or Factory Planning
- Business English proficiency (B2-C1 level minimum)
- Keen on working with advanced excel solutions that automate daily and weekly processes and potential to develop simple Power BI tools
- Practical knowledge of SAP APO, Power Bi and other reporting tools
- Adaptable, agile, assertive, communicative, good team player, able to balance/challenge conflicting objectives, eye for detail, highly curious, resilient, able to work autonomously and remotely, with strong negotiation and convincing skills
- Ability to see the bigger picture beyond the scope of their role and balance short term, mediumterm and longterm focus is vital for successful performance
