Shift Leader

Reporting to Production Manager, he/she will be responsible for the operational management of one of the production shifts and the corresponding Team Leaders, ensuring through the respective Operating System the fulfillment of the defined Goals for each Work Unit.


Your role

  • Ensure effective and efficient shift management in order to achieve daily fulfillment of SPQVC Targets;
  • Ensure, together with the Team Leaders, an effective / efficient control and management of Headcount in each Work Unit in order to achieve operational targets with a highlevel focus on Efficiency Targets;
  • Develop actions with the Team Leaders in order to ensure control and an effective and efficient daily management of absenteeism and Attrition;
  • Ensure good connection/communication between Shifts, so that there is a good transmission of information between them;
  • Ensure good connection/communication with other Departments;
  • Ensure, together with the Team Leaders, that operators have the necessary Knowledge/skills as needed to perform the job;
  • Permanent monitoring of internal climate of the teams and together with the Team Leaders, develop daily actions that promote Aptiv Values, a high level of commitment and motivation, and a strong spirit of collaboration / teamwork;
  • Ensure compliance with internal rules (discipline, Quality, EHS, EPI ́s...), 5S and all routines/requirements as defined in the procedures / WI;
  • Ensure permanent updating of SPQVC Monitoring and all reports.

Your background

  • Engineering Degree, preferential on Industrial Management and Production or related areas;
  • 5 years of professional experience in industrial environment (preferably in manufacturing environment);
  • Portuguese & English are mandatory
  • Good computer skills (Office);
  • Strong results orientation and consistent compliance with objectives and deadlines, even under challenging circumstances;
  • Ability to build, manage and develop successful teams to meet the needs and objectives;
  • Capacity for initiative and problem solving.
