The Position

The Associate Specialist will collaborate with a team of approximately 40 professional StS colleagues in the Center, handling end-to-end StS processes. Moreover, the StS Associate Specialist will have daily interactions with our global BPO partner responsible for executing StS Transactional services for Organon across all our global regions. The Associate Specialist will engage in diverse StS process areas, including Purchase Order Management, Invoice Processing, Settlements, and Employee Expense Management.

Position Responsibilities:

StS Process Delivery:

  • Deliver services in alignment with agreed Service Levels, Controls, and Governance.
  • Assist in managing process risk by adhering to policies and internal controls, ensuring compliance with StS guidelines, and executing process and SOX controls accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain precise and comprehensive standard operating procedures and internal control documentation.
  • Foster a focus on process enhancement, aiding in the adoption of best practices and project management principles.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external auditors to facilitate successful audit outcomes and adherence to US GAAP and company regulations.
  • Collaborate with process owners and other GSS Center colleagues to pinpoint opportunities for enhancing efficiencies through continuous improvement.
  • Maintain detailed and professional process documentation such as global SOPs, Regional Work Instructions, etc., in coordination with the StS Global Process Owner.

Education & Experience:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Possess up to 1 year of experience in StS processes.
  • Show fluency in English and proficiency in at least one other European language, along with Portuguese.
  • Have experience working in regional or global teams; experiencing in Launching or Establishing a Shared Service Center is advantageous.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in large teams.
  • Exhibit meticulous attention to detail, deliver accurate results, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Preferably, have familiarity with US GAAP and experience using SAP R/3; knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA is a plus.
  • Prior experience in shared services, regional roles, or engagement in global initiatives is desirable.
