A Snapshot of Your Day
Every project manager has a different routinedeveloped on the basis of their preference pertaining to the project they arehandling.


However, it is a good habit to communicate with yourstakeholders (i.e., Engineering, Finance, Procurement, etc.) and clients on adaily basis.


How You'll Make an Impact
You will lead the execution of electrical substation projects within energytransmission sector.

Your involvement in the project starts during the tenderphase and it continues all the way through execution until the projects ishanded over to Services (Operations).


In Siemens Energy, projects could last from 6 months to several years andyou will be the overall project manager for 1 or more projects depending on thecomplexity and volume of the projects.

You will have a close collaboration with the tender management department,as well as finance and procurement functions.

Focus areas:

  • Project managementwith full responsibility for operational performance.
  • Monitoring andcontrolling of contractual, commercial, and technical project related topics.
  • Engagement andproject team leadership to ensure project success by utilizing team membersabilities.
  • Directcommunication with customers and subcontractors.
  • Preparation andpresentation of decisionmaking material for Steering Committees and SeniorManagement meetings
  • Overall QHSE,Contract and Site responsibility.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's ormaster's degree in electrical, power systems engineering or similar.
  • 10+ years ofproject management experience in the construction of complex energy projects(high voltage substations and/or FACTS projects).
  • Extendedexperience in working with various types of construction contracts e.g., FIDIC.
  • Commercialunderstanding and ability to work with complex cost and risk managementconcepts.
  • Knowledge ofQuality and HSE management concepts and tools.
  • Customer focusedand motivated to work across different cultures in an internationalenvironment.
  • Excellent writtenand verbal communication and leadership skills for coworking with colleaguesand stakeholders with various professional backgrounds.
  • Having advanced ITskills and knowledge of Microsoft Project and Autocad.
  • Language competenciesin Portuguese and English. Other languages are considered as an advantage.
  • PMP or IPMAcertification is considered as an advantage.
  • Flexible andwilling to travel when required.
