Job Summary:

  • The fundamental objective of Kantar Global Cyber Security is to help Kantar harness business opportunities in a safe and secure way. We recognize that cyber security is not just a technical issue and requires engagement with the whole business to adapt a holistic approach to cyber security._
  • The Cyber Security Strategy & Assurance Team is accountable for the cyber risk management framework and delivery of the associated plan and operational capability. This includes controls assurance, risk and control analytics and managing audits and compliance relating to cyber and technology risk._
  • The role will be responsible for owning, defining and delivering the controls assurance plan, ensuring data is maintained, and risk reporting, alignment with threats, driving of action plans and escalation/ensuring management awareness is well coordinated and effectively executed. This requires a strong partnership with the internal audit, compliance and enterprise risk teams at Kantar._

Responsibilities:

  • Document and define Kantar's control assurance framework, maintaining the content and ensuring the framework is implemented effectively, it is continuously reviewed and is fit for purpose.
  • Build and maintain a control assurance plan, ensuring there is effective coverage and quality established. Providing assurance that controls are effective in design and operation to mitigate risk.
  • Consume and drive high quality control assurance information reporting, ensure reporting for other key forums and committees requiring cyber and tech risk data is scheduled and managed
  • Own and coordinate the schedule of repeat audit and assessments of cyber and technology risk, acting as the technology lead engagement point. Ensure high quality management of audits (internal and external)
  • Own and maintain the cyber controls assurance dashboard and controls assurance model, this must ensure control owners are clear of their responsibilities are trained on key behaviours, are held accountable for performance of the controls they manage and implementation of effectiveness and coverage metrics for key controls is implemented with their key input
  • Ensure all control deficiencies are reported through the risk register and tracked through to completion, escalating concerns and proposing solutions to strength overall control effectiveness.
  • Work with the VMO on projects resolving control deficiencies, to ensure their commitments to address are baked into requirements and exit gates.
  • Ensure federated responsibility of cyber and technology risk management is in place, led and managed effectively using a champions network across the organization.
  • Drive quality reviews of and thought leadership of cyber and technology risk, working closely with enterprise security architecture and enterprise risk.
  • Act as the 'integration' point between business facing areas of cyber (Cyber Security Service Delivery) and the Security Operations team (SecOps)
  • Adopt thought leadership to drive enhanced methodologies for demonstrating strong control assurance and cyber investment RoI for the security function, through a business and financial lens.
  • Undertake adhoc activity relating to specialized risk, audit, compliance or controls' projects or activities which are required at a central CISO level.
  • Plan and form a framework for cyber security certifications at Kantar, ensuring the model is well defined with strong implementation plans
Skills/Experience

  • A broad understanding of cyber security across all areas of a cyber function, with operational experience in at least 23 areas of cyber security domains.
  • Experience supporting cyber security through large scale business transformation.
  • Strong understanding of controls assurance, control measurement and audit management.
  • Extensive knowledge of multiple control frameworks (i.e. ISO27001, SWIFT, GITC) and threat led approach to security risk management.
  • Prior audit experience or consulting expertise
  • Must be a highly adept influencer, with the ability to drive positive cultures of information sharing and collaboration across a team of teams
  • BA or Six Sigma knowledge, applied experience or certifications.
  • Cyber risk management Principles, practices, methodologies
  • Able to distill volumes of information, know when to make decisions, when to escalate and what to not prioritize.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable and applied experience above certifications is sought
  • Supporting references to validate leadership experience within cyber and coordinating activity in a focused, organised way.
  • Cyber security, financial and process engineering qualifications will be of value, but aren't essential
