The
Digital Global Unit (DGU) is an area of
EDP SA and its mission is to challenge the organization to think differently and go beyond, in a context of increasingly frequent and faster technological, economic and social changes, creating and disseminating a digital friendly culture, favorable to the development and experimentation of new solutions that create value for the various stakeholders of the EDP Group.
To support us in this role, we intend to support us in this role, we intend to recruit for the
Planning and Management Control Department.
Main responsibilities:
- Consolidate, control and report financial and key operational info of Global IT & Digital;
- Analyse monthly deviations of actuals vs budget and forecast and report to key stakeholders including IT & Digital management team and business platforms' responsibles;
- Perform monthly forecast, annual budget and strategic plan update (when applicable) for IT & Digital costs in collaboration with business areas;
- Prepare financial related analysis and research in areas such as financial and cost saving performance measures;
- Support management team decisionmaking by providing relevant and structured financial information;
- Monthly calculation of accruals and deferrals for Iberian DGU;
- Liaise with external auditors;
- Promote the digitalization of the team and proactively make suggestions to other areas.
Looking for people with the following requirements:
- Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Economics, Management or Finance (preferred);
- Between 2 and 5 years of professional experience in a similar position;
- Fluency in English (oral and written);
- Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles;
- Mastering of Office tools, in particular Excel (advanced level);
- Knowledge of Power BI and Spanish is valued;
- Initiative and proactivity, critical thinking, digitalfirst mindset (identification and implementation of potential digitalization processes), financial storytelling, organizational skills and ability to adapt to change, good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently are skills that we value.
