A social media manager wears many hats - from being a strategist, a creative, a copywriter, a brand ambassador, a data analyst to, well, being social Unit4 has a great opportunity for an individual to do just that as we are looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative Social Media Manager to join our Global Communications team.


Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Communications, this is a varied role where you will devise and lead the global Social Media Strategy for Unit4, as well as taking a very hands-on approach to drive and execute the plan.


This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Social Media Manager to join a growing next-generation software company, at an exciting moment in our journey.

You will be a member of a small team, part of our amazing marketing community and working in a role with autonomy, the chance to make an impact and develop.

This position will be based in our lively hub in Lisbon, Portugal, with flexibility to work remotely as required.

What you will do

  • Lead Social Media for Unit4, developing creative and engaging social media strategies
  • Manage and monitor all social media channels
  • LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube tailoring content for each platform
  • Own the content calendar and schedule, using our scheduling tool
  • Sprout
  • Identify and build relationships with social media influencers, to help drive brand awareness
  • Track, analyse and report on social media performance determine KPIs in collaboration with Comms Director, focusing on outcomes, and drive regular reporting
  • Collaborate with teams to assist in the ideation and execution of social media to support wider marketing campaigns
  • Think creatively and digitally work with colleagues to devise innovative approaches to social, create engaging multimedia content, and generating creative ideas for campaigns
  • Communicate key programs and assets to internal stakeholders and help to educate colleagues on the value of social media, including social selling
  • Stay aware of latest trends and techniques, always looking to innovate
  • Support management of social media budget, together with Comms Director
  • Coach and line manage our Social Media Associate, with whom you will work closely to take our social to the next level

Qualifications:

Your background and skills

  • At least 5 year's progressive social media manager experience, preferably within technology
  • Degree preferred in Digital Marketing, or related field.
  • Proven ability to develop social media strategies, deliver successful campaigns, increase engagement, drive brand awareness and grow audiences, devising new and innovative approaches as required
  • Selfmotivated, team player who approaches work with a positive and professional attitude
  • Highly organized with proven project management skills able to prioritize across multiple projects
  • Ability to work fastpaced, dynamic environment and deliver high quality work
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and attention to detail
  • Strong data/analytical skills, with the ability to interpret findings and adapt strategies as needed
  • Knowledge of SEO and algorithms
  • Handson social media experience across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and accustomed to using Sprout Social
  • Online community management
  • Global mindset and cultural awareness experience in developing content tailored for the US market is desirable.
  • Direct people management experience
  • Photography and video production skills a plus
  • Multilingual knowledge of any of the following languages
  • French, German, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian would be useful
