Senior Actuarial Analyst - Pension Plans

As a Global Accounting Service Leader in the LRDH, you will support the local IGS (Integrated & Global Solutions) clients teams across Europe (Western Europe and GB) in Pension and Post-Employment consolidation projects for multinational companies.


Key tasks associated with this role:

  • Support multinational Corporates to manage their global actuarial projects.
  • Accounting consolidation of employee benefit liabilities according to international standards (IAS19 and USGAAP).
  • Act as an expert for all technical matters related to postemployment benefits, in special the pension world.
  • Check technical accuracy, reasonableness, and 'sense checking' you own work, and that of others.
  • Takes overall responsibility for the team's workload and monitors the team's performance against deadlines
  • Provides timely communications to the team to keep them informed of priorities and plans
  • Take responsibility for the allocation and management of work in the team
  • Ensure communication within the team and with the stakeholder, guaranteeing fluidity of communication and alignment.
  • Ensures enough resources are available to complete the team's deadlines and communicates any resource concerns
  • Ability to coach, train, develop and mentor junior members of the team, using your expertise, insights and knowledge
  • Responsible for the supervision of junior colleagues to achieve the workflow and scheme event delivery targets based on service level agreements and timetables agreed
  • Contribute to internal management tasks, such as team reviews, continuous improvement initiatives, management reports etc.

The Requirements

  • Degree in actuarial science (is a plus), math, finance or economics
  • Relevant industry experience (retirement/pensions) and consulting experience coupled with sound technical capability
  • Interest in employee benefits for multinational companies (retirement, pension, health) and the consolidation process under IAS 19 and USGAAP
  • Strong verbal and written skills in English (other European Language is a plus)
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment, with a willingness to work flexibly to achieve project objectives
  • Ability to set a vision and to lead and motivate a team across various grades
  • Strong analytical, numerical and critical thinking skills, including a good understanding of actuarial approaches for pensions
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively create a trusty relationship with the stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Able to encourage and develop other colleagues, and work well within diverse teams
