Algorithmics Madeira is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Part-Time Teachers.

As a Part-Time Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality programming education to students aged 6 to 18.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct engaging and interactive programming/digital classes for students (90 minutes per class).
• Customize teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students.
• Provide guidance and support to students throughout their learning journey.
• Assess and evaluate student progress.
• Collaborate with fellow educators and contribute to the development of innovative teaching materials.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in programming languages suitable for the course to be taught (i.e We have 11 courses to offer )
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for teaching and working with children.
• Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus.
• Availability to work parttime hours and occasioally weekends

Courses:

Python Pro:

Designed for teens aged 14-17, this comprehensive course covers everything from basic Python programming to advanced concepts like machine learning and game development, preparing students for IT professions.

Game Development on Unity:

For kids aged 12-16, this course teaches the basics of game creation using the Unity engine, covering 3D modeling, programming, and level design.

Building Websites:

Targeted at children aged 11-13, this course equips them with the skills to design, code, and publish their websites using tools like Figma, Tilda, and GitHub Pages.

Game Design:

This course for kids aged 10-11 dives into game development, teaching them to code, develop storylines, and create games using Roblox Studio.

Graphic Design:

For children aged 9-14, this course explores graphic design principles, allowing kids to learn about composition, color theory, and visual communication.

Video Content Makers:

Catering to children aged 9-14, this course focuses on creating video content for platforms like YouTube and TikTok, including filming, editing, and channel growth.

Visual Programming:

For kids aged 9-10, this course introduces programming with Scratch, helping them create animations and games while learning the basics of coding.

Summer Sessions:

Offer various educational adventures in digital literacy, game blogging, and more for kids aged 7-12 during their vacation time.

Digital Literacy:

For children aged 7-9, this course teaches practical skills in using computers and the internet safely for school and daily life.

The Coding Knight:

Tailored for children aged 6-7, it's an introductory course to the world of programming, teaching them to solve problems creatively and work on projects in teams.
