Job Description:

Team:

  • Integrate into our Data Team (ETL, Data Management, BI), working together with Paris team members, as an unique team, and help Porto to upskill on this practice.
  • Bring a differentiating expertise to our clients and stakeholders with integrity and responsibility (Sustainable impact)

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Contribute on evolution, new feature, life of the project Collaborate with clients to understand their operational and strategic needs and guide their success;
  • Contribute to disseminate a culture of data driven solutions in the business lines;
  • Design and implement endtoend data science experiments, including building largescale data processing pipelines for data gathering, data cleaning, data understanding and data analysis based on your experience and deep knowledge;
  • Clearly communicate data insights, findings and results to internal and external stakeholders and make business recommendations;
  • Face the demands of the bank industry, from scalability to fault tolerance to data protection, quality, risk and security;
  • Help to spread the data competence by continuously learning and sharing your knowledge in companywide Sharing and Mentoring sessions, technical talks and a reading. Be a Data evangelist;
  • Take ownership of your work and always strive to raise the bar.

Qualifications:

Main Technical Requirements:

  • BS/MS Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Math, Statistics or a similar area;
  • Experience with Machine Learning algorithms (Neural Networks, SVM, Markov Models, Decision Trees, etc) ;
  • Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP)
  • Proficiency in either Python, Java, Scala or C++;
  • Experience with machine learning platforms and ecosystem (Jupyter, TensorFlow, Hadoop, spark);
  • Experience with the endtoend Data Science loop: from the data processing stage to the model evaluation analysis;
  • Experience with large datasets / databases;
  • Experience with SQL;
  • Experience with data processing platforms, frameworks and tools, like Spark, Hive, Hadoop.

Other Requirements:

  • Fluent in Portuguese (mandatory)
  • Good level of English minimum
    B2 (mandatory)
  • French is a big plus
  • Able to be quickly autonomous, proactive
  • Past experience on similar position
  • Strong communicator
  • Knowledge in agile methodologies and tools (Scrum/Kanban) (nice to have);
  • Curious and a real passion for learning, doing things better and helping others, and an ability to turn ideas into realities
  • Availability to travel abroad for short periods of time, as required
