Adecco Recruitment is currently looking for a
Consolidation Manager | Record to Report (M/F) to join a multinational company in the health sector, based in
Lisbon.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a tight control over the financial close process and ensuring a smooth and quality close process. This includes communication to the global finance function on the month end close timetables and all reporting deadlines, and any other appropriate communication and interaction with the finance leads during monthly close process;
  • Continuous assessment of improvements to the financial close process, including execution of such improvements;
  • Manage and develop a team of accountants to prepare the monthly consolidation information, review of consolidation information for accuracy;
  • Ensure that any discrepancies within the global intercompany elimination matrix are investigated and resolved;
  • Prepare monthly variance analysis on the balance sheet and P&L, including investigation any material discrepancies, or unexpected charges;
  • Preparation of adjusted measures and investigation of any unexpected costs;
  • Preparation of monthly reporting decks to VP, Finance & Transformation, quarterly decks to Finance Leadership Team, and adhoc Audit Committee decks;
  • Preparation of information required for interim and full year covenant testing for Treasury function;
  • Support the External Reporting team in provision of data for the Half Year Reporting and YE Annual Report;
  • To support the integrity of the balance sheet, review and ensure all rollforwards/reconciliations are prepared and reviewed in line with company's policy of the close process;
  • Liaise with the External Auditors in relation to the consolidation and ensure that all audit files and analysis are prepared on a timely basis to support the delivery of an efficient audit process at halfyear review and yearend audit;
  • Work with the External Reporting team to deliver changes required to the consolidation to integrate acquisitions, or divestment;
  • Provide support from a finance perspective on fast moving M&A projects and System & Process projects as and when required;
  • Assess and approve any creation of new GLs and entities;
  • Drive the resolution of more complex queries, escalate nonstandard to RTR Senior Manager and RTR Tower Lead.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or similar area;
  • Accounting certification is a plus;
  • Minimum 8+ years of overall combined accounting & finance experience, previous experience in preparation of financial statements;
  • Minimum 2+ experience in people and stakeholder management;
  • Experience in working with IFRS standards;
  • Relevant experience within industry within Consolidation (at least 2 years).
