Responsibilities


As a DevOps Engineer, you will work with your peers to ensure the seamless operation, maintenance, and optimization of our multi-location hybrid infrastructure.

Through diligent monitoring, innovative problem-solving, and exceptional technical expertise, you will play a critical role in supporting the company's vision of empowering businesses with data-driven insights and unparalleled performance.

In order to achieve the mission of the role, the main tasks involved include:

  • Deploying new servers and services on NPAW's infrastructure and Cloud
  • Deploying monitoring scripts to improve NPAW's infrastructure and Cloud
  • Using Ansible or scripts to autoconfigure servers
  • Monitoring and performing load testing on the full stack systems, network, and services to find issues and solutions that let the infrastructure perform better.
  • Managing +400 servers allocated worldwide in a hybrid global infrastructure.
  • Being on call regularly, to respond to problems that may escalate our technical support team (24/7) and to ensure continuous operation of the services.

Requirements:

  • Prefer challenging environments over easy tasks, progress over comfort, and selflearning over tuition.
  • Think differently and are aware that doing what others do will only bring you to the same place.
  • Have fun in the storm, finding solutions to problems.
  • Are true technology passionates and investigating to discover more is a hobby.
  • Have 3+ years of previous experience in servers maintenance & configuration
  • Have background in Linux server setup, deployment, and maintenance (Debian / Ubuntu, security, monitoring ).
  • Have experience with:
  • Ansible, Puppet, Chef
  • Infrastructure lifecycle management
  • Shell / Bash Script
  • Apache / Nginx
  • Management of databases, storage and backups
  • Monitoring systems
  • Load balancers and testing systems
  • Networking basic knowledge and troubleshooting
  • Are familiar with web protocols (HTTP, DNS, SSL/TLS, etc.)
  • Have an unwavering commitment to maintaining high standards in all aspects of your work.
  • Have a high level of English
  • Have valid righttowork in Portugal and ability to work in office in Lisbon regularly.

Conditions

  • Salary ranges 30k to 39k EUR gross /year (mid to senior)
  • Oncall coverage included in the salary
  • Benefits for the value of approx. 4k EUR /year (incl. health insurance, meal allowance, training and education options, wellbeing options, amongst other with fiscal advantages).
  • Location: Avila Atrium Saldanha, Lisbon
  • Hybrid remote/office work model (40/60)
  • Permanent contract
