ACCP SOURCING MANAGER

What you will do

In this vital role you will be responsible to lead a team with a direct reporting line. You will also partner with business process in Europe, Latin America, Middle East & Africa and Canada (ELMAC) countries to source goods and/or services aligned with Amgen's sourcing policies and processes in order to deliver business requirements at fair market value total cost and minimize risk exposure. On the other hand, you will also have more responsibilities that includes the following:

Strat egic contribution

  • Support GSS Director in development of broad global sourcing programs/initiatives
  • Translate GSS business plans into objectives for the ACCP Sourcing team
  • Accountable for leading the ACCP Sourcing Team and delivery of team results
  • Accountable to meet or exceed productivity ACCP target for the region
  • Be a thought partner and actively challenge work, to deploy the most comprehensive and creative solutions; furthermore, removes barriers for the team to support and execute
  • Drive ACCP GSS transformation:
  • Define a road map for ACCP Team transformation
  • Establish solid working relationships with each affiliate/sub region
  • Partnering with Country Sourcing Managers to support the ACCP GSS Transformation
  • Work very closely with the countries supported (Financial Director, Business Partners)

Leadership/people development

  • Lead and develop high performing teams focused in strategic sourcing
  • Mentor and lead performance management tasks for direct reports, including robust talent management

Driving organizational alignment and value for users

  • Drive end-to-end sourcing processes (i. e., RFx through contract execution)
  • Coordinates and integrates team activities in the development and implementation of new processes and policies
  • Develops innovative solutions to achieve strategic objectives
  • Interacts and collaborates regularly with users of strategic sourcing to ensure needs are being met
  • Support alignment between implementation of category strategies and the needs/requirements of sub- regions and countries.
  • Lead continuous improvement GSS initiatives / Identify and implement opportunities of simplification and automation in GSS processes and review opportunities

Leading execution of projects

  • Identify and implement opportunities of simplification and automation in GSS processes and review opportunities
  • Lead teams to execute towards Sourcing goals with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Encourages clear project planning, active user management and clear communications during sourcing project development and execution
  • Tracks progress/outcome of strategic sourcing initiatives by monitoring progress, achieving milestones and analyzing data to ensure follow-through from key players
  • Develop monthly GSS Reporting to manage the workload
  • Monitor and analyze spend, trends, savings, forecasts, and supplier data against KPIs to ensure strategic alignment and performance

  • 2/5 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or advising the allocation of resources

  • Competent in Project Management and independently develops practical solutions.
  • Proven experience in sourcing or procurement, with a track record of delivering value and productivity.
  • Experience in facilitating strategic sourcing processes and leading RFP generation.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of contract implementation and supplier management.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to monitor and report on relevant KPIs.
  • Demonstrated success in partnering cross-functionally
  • Excellent communication skills (presentation, virtual team development, etc.) resulting in relationship building and development
  • Ability to take initiative and work with a minimum level of direction in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using e-procurement tools such as Scout and CLM system (SirionLab)
  • Highly proficient with MS Office Suite, including Excel
  • Fluent business English written and oral.
