We are looking and recruiting for the position of Production Assistant Manager for our Management Team (L5).


As Production Assistant Manager (L5), you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely production of high-quality products while meeting safety standards and company objectives.

Your mission will be:

  • Manage and lead all Production teams, providing guidance, training, and support as needed, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager to ensure the department meets its targets and objectives (KPI).
  • Monitor and analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, including regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance, to resolve production issues and improve processes.
  • Prepare and analyze production reports to track performance and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Implement and maintain production policies, procedures, and standards.
What we are looking for in a candidate?

  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Good English skills, both written and spoken.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills


MFTE is a European manufacturer of commercial vehicles (Fuso Canter), located in Tramagal, municipality of Abrantes and it's an exclusive part of the Daimler Truck Group – one of the largest international producers in the automotive industry, which includes the brands Fuso, Mercedes, among others.
