General Ledger Accountant

Adecco Recruitment is seeking a skilled General Ledger Accountant & Reporting (m/f) for a reputable multinational company based in Oeiras.
Requirements- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
- Preferably with auditing experience in renowned firms like Big 4/ Big 10 (especially in the manufacturing sector);
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities (proficiency in English at an advanced level is a must).
- Prepare and release the monthly financial reports package as per the finance leader's requirements, ensuring accounts reconciliation in Cadence software complying with Haworth's accounting policies;
- Handle monthly account reconciliation, specifically sales and tax accounts, and collaborate with the finance leader to resolve outstanding items;
- Collaborate with the finance leader to analyze financial data, ensuring accurate posting in relevant accounts and cost centers;
- Lead the monthly/quarterly/annual closing processes and assist in the quarterly reserve review with finance leader;
- Assist in preparing standard accruals and provisions monthly following company policies;
- Create journal entries in SAP and perform general ledger tasks, including Forex revaluation and maintaining the Fixed Asset Register;
- Ensure proper approvals for RFE assets, monitor costs within budget, and coordinate the annual fixed asset count with the finance leader;
- Knowledgeable in local tax regulations to handle tax filings and compliance;
- Support internal and external audits when necessary;
- Prepare adhoc reports or analysis as requested by management;
- Enhance internal controls, processes, and systems continually;
- Ensure daily operational tasks are completed efficiently;
- Address finance-related queries and provide financial support across teams.
