Kitchen Assistant Duties & Profile:
- English and Portuguese are highly valued, other languages are a plus.
- Valid drivers license for Portugal, a must.
- Flexibility in Schedules - Ability to work early mornings or evenings
- Attention to detail and interpersonal skills
- Own transportation to and from work, a must.
- Excellent food preparation and cooking techniques
- Ability to decorate and garnish food
- Washing, peeling and preparing food ingredients
- Using equipment such as mixers, special knives and cutters
- Ability to use and maintain various stovetops, ovens and grills
- Reviewing kitchen inventory and determining what items are needed
- Unloading fresh supplies and organising the stockroom
- Checking sell-by dates and rotating food stock
- Cleaning kitchen appliances, ovens, dishes and pans
- Observing cooking times and correct temperatures
- Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety standards
