Savills Portugal, holding a prominent position in the national market, intends to reinforce its team in the Finance Department with the integration of a Senior Accountant for its Lisbon office.
Key tasks/activities:
- Prepare and analyse monthly and annual accounting closings by drawing up financial statements;
- Ensure compliance with all tax obligations to which companies are subject;
- Ensure compliance with accounting management rules align with management controlling policies of the Company;
- Calculate and prepare regulatory reports and various tax returns;
- Participate in the preparation of budgets and their periodic reviews;
- Support software implementation by helping with the correct input of accounting and tax bases;
- Monitor the annual audit of financial statements;
- Manage junior members of the team);
- Respond to specific accounting and tax needs from internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements, Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Accounting or equivalent;
- Certified accountant (valued));
- 8 or more years' experience in a similar role;
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and the dynamics between the balance sheet, profit and loss account and cash flows;
- In-depth knowledge of the main tax issues
- Experience in team leadership;
- Willingness to work as part of a team and good interpersonal skills;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint;
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (valued);
- Strong analytical, organisational and dynamic skills;
- Proactivity, rigour, attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility;
- Ability to analyse and interpret financial information;
- Good communication skills, particularly in Portuguese and English;
- Interest in real estate and consultancy business.
