We're looking for a Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in regulatory and methodological initiatives, acting as the liaison between technical and functional teams such as Quant, Risk Management, and Front Office. About the Project This opportunity is part of a major engagement led by Hexa Consulting, supporting a Tier 1 financial institution in the evolution of their Market Risk systems. You will contribute to functional analysis, compliance-driven developments, and the overall software enhancement lifecycle. ️ Key Technical Skills Proven experience as a Business Analyst Strong academic background with analytical, quantitative, or mathematical focus Solid knowledge of Market Risk concepts and methodologies Interest in software development projects and familiarity with IT systems Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, desktop applications) Fluent in English B2 minimum Main Responsibilities Requirements Gathering & Functional Architecture Interact with stakeholders (Quant, Risk, FO) to collect and clarify requirements Analyze current workflows and propose system improvements Create diagrams, functional documentation, and system specifications Testing Strategy & Execution Define and execute test plans to validate new functionalities and system performance Production Transition & Support Assist with deployment to production environments, user onboarding, and training sessions Ad-hoc Analysis & Reporting Support management with insights for regulatory requests and cost projections Prepare presentations and reports for stakeholders and project sponsors Porto Office | 2x per week | Hybrid model Valued Soft Skills Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) Critical thinking and decision-making capability Strong time management and organizational skills Experience with Agile/SAFE methodologies is a plus If you enjoy cross-functional collaboration and want to contribute to impactful financial technology projects, we'd love to meet you.
