Descrição do cargo The Company We're partnering with a fast-growing, founder-led
beauty and wellness brand
that has built a strong position in its home market and is now entering its next phase of international growth.
The business has been built with a strong focus on acquisition and is now investing in the senior talent needed to build a more sophisticated brand and organisation around that growth. It is bootstrapped, well-funded and deliberately lean, with an ambitious team being built to take the business to the next level.
The brand has strong foundations, but its creative output has grown faster than the systems and leadership behind it. This is where the opportunity comes in.
The Opportunity This is a newly created
Creative Director
role with genuine ownership of the brand's visual identity.
The business has a capable design function, but there is currently no single person setting the creative direction or owning the aesthetic standard across the brand. As the brand expands into new markets, channels and retail partnerships, the founders can no longer be the final creative approval point for everything.
You'll become the person responsible for
how the brand looks and feels , defining the visual direction and ensuring it is consistently executed across every customer touchpoint — from packaging and website through to social and paid creative.
This is not a role for someone who wants to sit above the work. It is deliberately both
strategic and hands‐on . You'll set the direction, lead the wider design function and raise the quality of the team, while continuing to produce work yourself.
The ambition is clear: to make the brand feel like an
international beauty and wellness brand , rather than a successful local one.
What You'll Own Brand & Creative Direction
Own the visual identity and define how the brand looks and feels across every customer touchpoint.
Establish and evolve the visual guidelines and creative standards for the brand.
Ensure consistency and quality across packaging, website, social, paid creative and print.
Push the brand towards a more distinctive, premium and internationally credible aesthetic.
Creative Execution
Develop and produce creative work yourself, alongside directing the wider design function.
Lead art direction across photography, video and other creative production.
Ensure creative balances strong aesthetic judgement with the commercial requirements of the business.
Bring new creative ideas, references, tools and approaches into the business, including using AI to increase the team's creative output.
Team & Function
Lead and develop the existing designer, raising the quality and capability of the wider team.
Create clear standards and frameworks that allow the team to produce work independently.
Build the design function as Frederica grows, including future hiring.
Become the clear owner of aesthetic decisions, removing the founders from day‐to‐day creative approval.
Digital & International Growth
Lead the design and creative direction of the new website alongside the Ecommerce Manager and Development team.
Ensure the new website represents a genuine step change in how the brand presents itself.
Build a visual system that can scale as the brand expands internationally and into new channels and retail.
What They're Looking For
Proven ownership of a
consumer brand's visual identity
— you have decided what a brand should look like, rather than simply executing against someone else's system.
A portfolio with
strong international-level aesthetic judgement .
Range across
packaging, web/ecommerce, social, paid creative and print .
Experience creating
performance creative
that has to sell, not just brand work.
A track record of raising the level of other designers through leadership, direction or mentoring.
Still highly
hands‐on
and comfortable producing work yourself.
Strong
AI fluency , with experience incorporating AI tools into your creative practice.
Experience working in a
startup, scale‐up or small team
without a large support structure.
Experience in
beauty, cosmetics, wellness or supplements
would be particularly relevant, alongside premium fashion, food & beverage or lifestyle brands. Experience with retail packaging, art direction, motion/video or taking a brand through a repositioning or significant level change would also be advantageous.
The Person We're looking for someone with
exceptional taste who can both set the creative direction and execute it
— someone who is commercially aware, highly hands‐on an
