You'll coach and influence without authority — you're not a gatekeeper, you're an enabler, which means building trust and demonstrating value rather than mandating process. You're navigating a lot of moving parts. Compensation touches payments, benefits, insurance, compliance, and integrations with external providers, so your test strategies have to span multiple systems — and you'll coordinate across product, operations, and infrastructure without clear-cut boundaries. Every country adds complexity. We operate in Portugal, Italy, and Spain, each with different regulations, tax rules, benefit types, and compliance requirements — your test strategies need to flex across markets without becoming unmaintainable. Prevention is harder than detection. Finding bugs is easy; preventing them by shifting quality left into requirements, design, and architecture takes deeper collaboration — you need to be in the room early, not just at the end of a sprint. 👤 You Must-haves (evidence, not years) Test Automation: strong experience with modern frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Jest, or similar) Programming: proficient in at least one language (TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Elixir) CI/CD: experience with pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) API Testing: comfortable with contract testing, REST/GraphQL validation Observability: familiarity with observability tools (Datadog, Grafana, Sentry) Collaboration: works well embedded in cross-functional teams Communication: can articulate quality risks and trade-offs clearly Nice-to-have Experience with mobile testing (Maestro, Appium) Background in fintech, payments, or regulated industries 🧬 Your DNA You enjoy building products that delight users, you collaborate closely with the team, and you have the drive to keep improving how the team works to raise quality.
