Senior Asset Data Visualization

Job Description: The Wealth Management IT department is looking for professional to own the design and mainten data visualisation solutions that support inventory and asset management processes. The role will work closely with infrastructure, security, and business teams to ensure accurate configuration item data (CMDB), streamlined Service Now workflows, and actionable Power BI dashboards. Candidates should have hands on experience with Configuration Management Databases (CMDB), ServiceNow, Power BI, and related reference data sources such as MAP (or equivalent asset referencing tools). Main Tasks: • Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for asset/inventory KPIs (e.g., asset lifecycle, utilization). • Translate business requirements into data models and visualisations that support decision making. • Work with APS Team on preparing data on various data points , KPIs , service review requirements • Own the end to end process for recording , maintaning IT asset discovery, classification, and reconciliation across physical, virtual, and cloud environments. • Perform and define data quality rules, and exception handling. Technical Skills: • Proficient in Power BI (Desktop, Service, dataflows). • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform – CMDB • Data analysis & reporting • Automation and scheduling data refresh • Understanding of reference data management (e.g., MAP). Language Skills: • English – Expert Soft Skills: • Critical thinking • Communication skills - oral & written • Ability to share / pass on knowledge • Personal Impact / Ability to influence • Analytical Ability Complementary information: CMDB Governance: Maintain the ServiceNow CMDB (or equivalent) – ensure accurate relationships, CI type definitions, and lifecycle status updates. Implement and monitor data quality metrics; lead periodic CMDB health reviews and remediation activities. Define and enforce CI naming conventions, attribute standards, and change management integration. Reference Data & MAP Integration: Manage and synchronise reference data sets (e.g., MAP, vendor master, procurement records) with the CMDB and Power BI data model. Design data mapping rules, ETL processes, and reconciliation jobs to maintain a single source of truth. Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between IT Operations, Security, Finance, and Business Units for asset related reporting needs. Conduct workshops and training sessions to promote self service analytics and data driven asset decisions. Continuous Improvement: Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual data entry and enhance reporting frequency. Stay current with industry best practices for CMDB, IT asset management (ITAM), and data visualisation. Compliance & Security: Ensure all data handling complies with information security policies, GDPR, and internal audit requirements. Participate in periodic audits and provide evidence of asset tracking controls. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: 10+ years of hands on experience in: Building Power BI dashboards (data modelling, custom visuals). Managing a CMDB within ServiceNow (or another ITSM platform). IT asset/inventory management, including discovery and lifecycle processes. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication in English Compliance Awareness: Knowledge of internal security standards applicable to asset data. This will need collaboration with IT Risk and WM security Team Preferred / Nice to Have Certifications: Power BI, ITIL Familiarity with ITIL processes and IT Asset Management (ITAM) frameworks (e.g., ISO 19770). Experience in Wealth Management or Financial Services IT environments. Exposure to cloud asset management
