The role of the Technical Architect is to define the technical architecture of the information system(s) and to check and analyse the technical impact of new solutions and their coherence with the existing architecture:

  1. Defines and manages the IT system's repository in terms of: tools, procedures, norms, vocabulary, security.
  2. Defines and manages technical standards.
  3. For any new project or new technology, participates in the impact study on the existing or projected architecture.
  4. Recommends technical choices to ensure the coherence of this evolution.
  5. Advises the planner on the use and possible implementation of IT and telecommunications tools.
  6. Organises technological monitoring choices.
