Location: Lisbon, Portugal (on-site) Languages: Portuguese C1 (required) + English B2+ We’re looking for a GenAI Engineer to join our Clients core engineering team developing a next-generation AI Agent platform for the banking sector. Work in a culture that values quality, learning, and engineering excellence . Key Responsibilities: Develop backend services in Python (FastAPI/Flask) for AI Agent orchestration and LLM workflows. Implement automated testing (unit + integration) with pytest; ensure observability through logs, metrics, and traces. Integrate and manage AWS IAM/Cognito authentication and AWS Secrets Manager. Collaborate within Agile teams (Scrum/Kanban), contributing to code reviews and CI/CD pipelines. Document architectural decisions, technical patterns, and compliance guidelines. Required Qualifications: Solid experience with Python 3.x and frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask. Strong testing skills (pytest, mocks, fixtures, integration testing). Hands-on experience with AWS IAM, Cognito, OAuth2/OIDC, and JWT. Comfortable working with Git, Agile practices, and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins). Good understanding of REST APIs, and Docker; GraphQL is a plus. Fluency in Portuguese (C1) + good command of English (B2+). Nice to Have Experience in financial services (risk, compliance, audit). Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI SDK, or AWS Bedrock. Knowledge of ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
