Who you’ll work with You’ll join Bain’s Global Retail Practice, a passionate and innovative group covering grocery, apparel and footwear (including luxury fashion), specialty retail, restaurants and food service, and travel and leisure. You’ll collaborate with colleagues across the globe, partners leading IP initiatives, and Bain’s marketing and editorial teams, as well as other Practice Consultants and the broader Product, Practice, and Knowledge (PPK) ecosystem. Where you’ll fit within the team This full-time role supports Bain’s Retail practice globally (30%) and in the Americas (70%), with preferred location in Mexico City. You’ll report to the Global/Americas Retail Practice Director and contribute to shaping Bain’s retail IP and thought leadership. What you’ll do Build Bain’s distinctive, provocative retail IP and viewpoints through research, data analysis, and expert input Collaborate with partners and practice leaders to develop, refine, and commercialize new products and insights Support marketing by publishing thought pieces externally (briefs, infographics, webinars, videos) Deploy IP internally and externally, supporting affiliates, case teams, and commercialization initiatives Provide advisory support to client-facing teams to improve frontline learnings Support major practice meetings and summits from agenda setting to presenting the latest IP Coach and mentor colleagues on the practice team to support professional development About you Qualifications BA or equivalent required; MBA preferred 4+ years of professional experience, including 1–2 years in consulting at the Consultant level with a leading firm Strong problem definition and problem-solving abilities Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and business modeling Experienced in structuring and leading research and analysis in fast-paced environments Demonstrated organizational and time management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills, including PowerPoint proficiency Comfortable working with remote supervisors and global teams Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at Bain and client organizations Preferred Experience Retail sector exposure (consulting or industry) Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau) Personal Attributes Collaborative and customer-oriented, able to work through others to drive results Entrepreneurial and proactive with a hands-on mindset Data-driven problem solver, with clear communication across technical, executive, and consulting audiences Energetic, enthusiastic, and strong relationship-builder Inspirational leader with experience motivating and developing colleagues A great teammate who brings passion and a positive attitude What Bain can offer you Develop deep retail expertise: build and showcase thought leadership through IP and market-facing content Broaden your skillset: gain operational experience running the practice and contributing to commercialization and branding Progressive career opportunities: promotion path to Practice Manager and beyond, with options to transition into capability or product roles Work with a great team: join a global practice with high engagement scores and a community of Practice Consultants Job details Seniority level: Not Applicable Employment type: Full-time Job function: Consulting Industries: Business Consulting and Services Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Bain & Company.
