Job Title: Information Security Architect

Work Model: Part-time & Remote
About Us
MOZAYDO was built by people who believe work should feel human - even when powered by technology.
We’re a remote-first company that connects talent, technology, and purpose to help companies grow sustainably.
We also believe recruitment should be more than matching keywords to job descriptions. It's about understanding people, recognising potential, and creating the right conditions for long-term success. Here, ownership matters more than control, and progress matters more than perfection.
People powered, tech enabled.
About the Role
We're looking for someone who can bring their expertise, ambition, and unique perspective to one of the project teams we support.
At MOZAYDO, we believe great careers are built where talent, purpose, and opportunity meet. While we're currently hiring for a specific project environment, our focus goes beyond matching skills to requirements. We want to understand where you can create the most impact and continue growing.
We are looking for an experienced Information Security Architect to support a major technology transformation programme in the international sports and events sector.
You will help establish the security foundations, reference patterns and architectural guidance required to protect a complex ecosystem of cloud, multi-cloud, hybrid and distributed solutions.
Acting as a trusted architectural advisor, you will review solution designs, identify risks and constructively challenge technical decisions. You will work closely with solution architects, engineering teams, DevOps specialists, vendors and a dedicated Identity and Access Management team, without assuming direct operational ownership of IAM services.
Responsibilities
- Define security foundations, blueprints and reusable reference patterns.
- Review solution and technical architectures for alignment with security principles.
- Advise teams on secure cloud, multi-cloud and hybrid architecture.
- Define security patterns for microservices, APIs and distributed systems.
- Apply Zero Trust and least-privilege principles across solution designs.
- Provide architectural guidance on IAM integration, including SSO, OIDC, SAML and RBAC.
- Coordinate security architecture topics with the dedicated IAM team.
- Identify security risks, architectural gaps and areas requiring remediation.
- Provide pragmatic recommendations that balance security, usability and delivery needs.
- Advise on DevSecOps practices and the appropriate integration of security tooling.
- Collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers, delivery teams and external technology partners.
- Constructively challenge designs and technical decisions where security requirements are not adequately addressed.
- Produce and maintain security architecture documentation and decision records.
- Support the consistent application of security principles across the transformation programme.
Requirements
- Professional experience as an Information Security Architect, Cybersecurity Architect or in a comparable security architecture role.
- Experience supporting large-scale technology transformation programmes.
- Strong knowledge of cloud, multi-cloud and hybrid security architecture.
- Experience securing microservices, APIs and distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of Zero Trust and least-privilege principles.
- Knowledge of Identity and Access Management architecture.
- Experience with SSO and federation standards such as OIDC and SAML.
- Understanding of RBAC and enterprise access-control models.
- Experience defining security blueprints, reference architectures or reusable patterns.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and security-tooling integration.
- Ability to assess architectural risks and provide practical remediation guidance.
- Strong stakeholder-management, communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to influence technical decisions without requiring direct operational ownership.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, multidisciplinary and international environment.
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Experience securing high-volume digital platforms or major international event environments will be considered an advantage.
Hiring Process
Our hiring process is designed to help both sides make an informed decision and ensure the best possible match between your experience, aspirations, and the project environment. Please note that the process may vary depending on the complexity and specific requirements of each opportunity.
