We are looking for an Application Support Engineer to handle critical application stacks and ensure platform stability, automation, and observability in cloud-native environments. What You Will Do: Provide Tier 2/3 support for various applications, including troubleshooting and deployments across multiple environments. Automate tasks and deployments using GitLab and Ansible; participate in weekly release reviews. Support the observability POC (Grafana Mimir, Loki, Alloy) on OpenShift using Helm and GitLab CI. Contribute to the migration of Grafana Central to OpenShift and suggest improvements in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible). Collaborate with the ITSM team using tools such as OBM, SiteScope, Prometheus, and Python scripts for automation. Coordinate with developers, QA, and external vendors to resolve issues and ensure platform stability. What You Need to Bring: Solid experience in application or platform support (Tier 2/3). Experience with Git (GitLab) and Ansible for deployment and automation. Familiarity with IBM Cloud or hybrid cloud environments. Strong hands-on experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes. Understanding of the Grafana stack (Mimir, Loki, Alloy) and monitoring tools. Proficiency in Linux environments. Scripting ability with Python. Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI) and Helm. Basic knowledge of Terraform and infrastructure configuration. Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken). Nice to Have: Exposure to ITIL processes. Experience with monitoring platforms (OBM, OO, SiteScope). Basic understanding of networking concepts. Knowledge of Windows, AIX, and multi-platform environments. Familiarity with InfluxDB and Apache Airflow.
