Performance Tech Lead

We are looking for a Performance Tech Lead with a Fullstack-oriented Java background to lead our Performance Engineering Service. This role will be a key technical and strategic position, acting as the main point of contact with senior management and ensuring the delivery, optimization, and continuous improvement of solutions.This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys technical challenges, performance optimization, and working across different layers of the system, without being limited to a single technology stack.📍 Location: Almada 🧑 💻 Work model: Hybrid (first 6 months onsite)🔧 Key ResponsibilitiesLead the delivery of the Performance Engineering service;Act as the main point of contact for the service;Communicate status, progress, and results to senior management;Diagnose, analyze, and optimize existing solutions;Work closely with the Competence Center;Drive continuous improvement in system performance and quality.🧠 Desired ProfileTechnical Architect or Full Stack–oriented Developer with a strong focus on performance optimization;Solid background in Java, primarily on the backend, with exposure to other application layers;Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex systems;Ability to provide technical leadership in performance engineering;Excellent communication skills, particularly with senior stakeholders;Dynamic profile, open to learning and working with new technologies and architectures.➕ Nice to HaveDatabases: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MariaDB;Cloud experience: AWS or Azure.🌍 Additional RequirementsFluent English (spoken and written);Availability to travel occasionally (Once per quarter (between 2 weeks and 1 month).💡 What We OfferA technical leadership role with real impact on system performance;Challenging and collaborative technological environment;Continuous learning and professional growth opportunities;Active involvement in strategic performance-related decisions. 📩 Apply now or send your CV to fmarques@pt.a2it.com
