Database Administrator (Funchal, Portugal)
We are a rapidly growing company in the technology industry and we are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Funchal, Portugal. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and experience in managing databases, with a focus on maintaining data integrity and security.
Responsibilities
- Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the database systems
- Implement and maintain database security measures
- Create backup plans and perform regular backups of the databases
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure efficient data flow between different systems
- Develop and maintain documentation for database processes and procedures
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in database technology
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database management systems (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
- Experience with data backup, recovery, and security protocols
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Salary
We offer a competitive salary of 1400$ per month, as well as accommodations for employees who choose to relocate to Funchal for this role.
