We are looking for an SQL Database AdministratorResponsibilities:
  1. Database Migration Planning: Collaborate with customers to understand requirements, analyze existing database environments, and develop comprehensive migration strategies.
  2. Migration Execution: Perform data migration tasks, including schema conversion, data transformation, and data loading. Ensure seamless migration with minimal disruption to operations.
  3. Performance Tuning: Optimize database performance before, during, and after the migration. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  4. Backup and Recovery: Implement robust backup and recovery procedures to safeguard data during migration. Conduct post-migration validation to ensure data integrity.
  5. Database Upgrades: Plan and execute database upgrades as part of the migration process, ensuring compatibility and stability of applications.
Requirements:
  1. Professional experience as a Database Administrator.
  2. Experience and knowledge of different SQL Server versions.
  3. Familiarity with tools of Ola Hallengren.
  4. Understanding of reorganizing versus rebuilding indexes.
  5. Knowledge of statistics and updating statistics, backup/restore possibilities within SQL Server.
  6. Understanding of recovery models of databases and their impact on backups and log files.
  7. Knowledge of system databases and their purposes.
  8. Understanding of SQL agent: how it works, how to configure it, and its possibilities.
  9. Basic knowledge of high-availability solutions such as clustering, always-on, mirroring, and log shipping.
  10. SQL development skills: T-SQL, stored procedures, scalar/table valued functions, error handling, common table expressions, and various types of joins.
  11. Knowledge of transactions: commit and rollback, nested transactions.
  12. Understanding of foreign keys, unique indexes versus primary keys, and data types and their importance.
  13. Familiarity with certificates and signed objects in security.
  14. Knowledge of indexes: clustered, non-clustered, covered index, filtered index.
  15. Understanding of in-memory OLTP: tables and native stored procedures and functions.
  16. Knowledge of indexed views: pros and cons.
  17. Understanding of execution plans and query store.
  18. Good level of English.
