We are looking for a SAP Business Objects Technical Expert to join a challenging Business Intelligence environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Active participation in SAP Business Objects platform upgrades, including major-version migrations such as BO4 → BO5
- Creation, maintenance and evolution of SAP BO Universes
- Migration and rebuilding of complex UNV universes into UNX universes
- Hands-on experience with Information Design Tool (IDT) and Universe Design Tool (UDT)
- Migration/rebuilding of tables, columns, joins, contexts, aliases, derived tables, parameters and security profiles
- Analysis of dependencies between universes, reports, schedules and data sources
- Installation and configuration of SAP BO on Linux environments
- Implementation of new SAP BO architectures across DEV, REC, UAT and PROD environments
- Configuration and management of users, groups, roles, entitlements, row-level security, object-level security, folder security and access profiles
- Migration and reconfiguration of SAP BO connections across databases such as IBM DB2, SAP Sybase, Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server
- Execution of functional, regression and performance testing, as well as security and report validation
- Management of backup, restore, high availability and disaster recovery strategies
- Performance tuning, sizing and optimization
- Troubleshooting through auditing, log analysis, performance analysis, root-cause investigation and critical incident resolution
- Automation of artifact releases across different environments
- Preparation of architecture documentation, operational procedures, runbooks, governance standards and migration documentation
- Participation in post-go-live support and hypercare activities

- Universe Design Tool (UDT)
- Database management and optimization: SQL Server, Oracle, IBM DB2, SAP Sybase, Teradata
- Python
- Data visualization / analytics tools such as Power BI, Alteryx or Dataiku
- Experience working with large-scale enterprise SAP BI environments
Education:
- University degree, or equivalent professional experience, in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
Languages:
- French: Working knowledge
