Job Overview and Responsibilities: Syensqo is creating its internal Global Business Services (GBS) to cover Finance, Procurement and Human Resources activities. We offer you to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment and to contribute to this group's transformation.

Join us in one of our 3 service centers: Lisbon, Curitiba, and Bangkok and be part of this transformation journey from the start.

We are looking for a highly skilled Transition Manager to be responsible for overseeing and managing the transition within Syensqo Global Business Services. Overall, the transition manager plays a critical role in facilitating smooth transitions within the GBS transformation, helping to minimize disruption and maximize the benefits of change initiatives.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, change management, and technical expertise, along with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Own transition methodology and framework.
  2. Develop and execute transition plans within the GBS transitions.
  3. Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.
  4. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure a smooth transition process.
  5. Lead change management efforts, including communication plans, training programs, and stakeholder engagement activities.
  6. Provide regular updates and reports on transition progress to key stakeholders.
  7. Monitor and track transition deliverables to ensure adherence to quality standards and timelines.
  8. Provide transition support to address any issues or concerns that arise during the implementation phase.
  9. Collaborate with functional teams to address technical challenges and dependencies.
  10. Continuously improve transition processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Key skills for this role:

  1. Project Management: Strong project management skills to plan, coordinate, and execute transitions effectively.
  2. Change Management: Understand the impact of the transition on various stakeholders and implement strategies to manage resistance to change.
  3. Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies is crucial.
  4. Technical Knowledge: A global understanding of the impacts of IT implementation, business processes, and organizational restructuring.
  5. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with various teams, departments, and external partners to coordinate activities and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  6. Quality Assurance: Define and ensure the quality of the transition deliverables.
  7. Post-Transition Support: Provide support after the transition is complete to address any issues that arise.

Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree, Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL) preferred.
  2. Proven experience as a Transition Manager (5-10 Years), with a strong background in project management and change management.
  3. Solid understanding of transition management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  4. Technical expertise in areas within GBS business processes preferred.

Must-have skills:

  1. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  3. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  4. Experience working with functional teams and external vendors.
  5. Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft, Google, Jira).
  6. Ability to connect with people.
  7. Proactive with a high level of initiative and autonomy.
  8. Jira tool knowledge (preferable).

Must-have language skills: Fluent in English (both written & spoken).
