Entry Level Truck Driver - Funchal, Portugal
We are currently hiring an Entry Level Truck Driver to join our team in Funchal, Portugal. This is a contract position with a starting salary of 1200$. As an Entry Level Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating our company truck to transport goods and materials to various locations within the city.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company truck in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations
- Transport goods and materials to designated locations within the city
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment and techniques
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck to ensure safety and report any issues as needed
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including time logs, fuel consumption, and any incidents that may occur
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays or issues that may arise
Requirements
- Valid driver's license for commercial vehicles (Class B or higher preferred)
- Clean driving record with no accidents or serious violations in the past 3 years
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately
- Physically fit to handle loading/unloading of cargo and able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary
- Prior experience as a truck driver is not required but considered a plus
