Architectural Technologist vacancy in Funchal Portugal
Architectural Technologist - Funchal, Portugal
As an Architectural Technologist, you will be responsible for assisting in the design and construction of buildings and structures. You will work closely with Architects and Engineers to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and according to specifications. This is a full-time position based in Funchal, Portugal.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Architects and Engineers to develop design plans for new buildings or renovations
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed drawings and models of building components
- Conduct site visits to assess existing structures and assist in developing solutions for any issues
- Research materials, construction techniques, and building codes to ensure compliance with regulations
- Prepare cost estimates for materials and labor required for projects
- Communicate with contractors, suppliers, and clients to coordinate project timelines and resolve any issues that arise
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an Architectural Technologist or similar role
- Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD or Revit
- Strong understanding of building codes and regulations in Portugal
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Preferred
- Experience working on projects in the city of Funchal or other areas of Portugal
- Familiarity with sustainable design principles
- Biometric passport
Salary: 1600$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
