We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with a strong focus on database performance, reliability, automation, and operational excellence.
Location: Porto, Portugal
Work Model: Hybrid
Responsibilities
- Maintain Oracle databases in both production and non-production environments.
- Ensure database availability, stability, and security.
- Analyze incidents and service requests, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Manage change requests and database deployments.
- Optimize database engines and SQL performance.
- Develop scripts and automation solutions to improve operational efficiency.
- Perform preventive maintenance and monitor database health.
- Support developers, application administrators, and infrastructure teams.
- Participate in database design and implementation projects, including high availability and capacity planning initiatives.
- Maintain and update operational documentation, processes, and procedures.
- Contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery exercises.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
- Strong experience with Oracle 19c.
- Solid troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Experience with Oracle RAC and Oracle Single Instance environments.
- Experience with RMAN (Recovery Manager).
- Experience with Oracle Data Guard.
- Good understanding of database performance tuning and optimization.
- Experience working with ticketing systems.
- Fluent Portuguese and English (minimum B2).

- Experience with MS SQL Server.
- Experience with MySQL.
- Experience with PostgreSQL.
- Experience with MongoDB.
- DevOps mindset and automation experience.
- Knowledge of business continuity and high-availability solutions.
