Are you ready to join a high-energy, performance-driven team dedicated to empowering athletes around the world? We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager who will be a key player on our store leadership team, supporting the Store Manager in achieving operational excellence and profitability. This role serves as an essential backup to the Store Manager and supports day-to-day operations while leading and training team members.

- 2 years of management experience, preferably in a retail environment
- Outgoing personality with excellent communication skills
- Fluency in the local language and/or English
- Collaborative ability and skill to work well in a team

- 3-5 years of previous leadership experience, especially in the fashion industry

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Assistant Store Manager helps achieve sales, profitability, and other key performance indicators while performing daily operations. This role is responsible for supporting product standards and providing operational excellence while leading, training, and guiding team members. In the absence of the Store Manager, the Assistant Store Manager assumes their responsibilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales and Omnichannel
- Support the business plan by driving sales, profitability, and other key objectives for the store
- Effectively use technology to enhance athlete engagement and drive KPI achievement
- Support omnichannel efforts by promoting our apps, social campaigns, and athlete competitions
- Act as a de facto leader by exemplifying customer service standards and sales behaviors
- Maintain brand cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards in the store area, cash wrap, and fitting rooms
- Communicate clear expectations to achieve brand standards
- Oversee daily operational procedures
- Partner with the Store Manager on wage/scheduling adjustments to meet productivity, wage, and sales objectives
- Support/lead merchandise handling through reporting and sales
- Responsible for leading and/or supporting visual directives, including mapping and store sets
- Support/lead shipping receipt activities, processing, scheduling optimization, and replenishment
- Analyze store audit compliance and reduce results compared to company loss prevention standards
- Provide a compelling vision and purpose that encompasses UA's core competencies and functional behaviors
- Communicate clear expectations to achieve performance and behavior standards
- Create and support relationships with team members, peers, and leadership to drive positive change
- Partner with the Store Manager to execute performance management tools
- Promote team member engagement and development by recognizing and rewarding team members for outstanding performance
- Recognize and address team member performance issues
- Communicate priority issues to the Store Manager in a timely manner and collaborate on solutions
- Assist in the team member lifecycle through recruitment, training, and development of team members
- Hold team members accountable for employment practices and policies
- Proactively seek personal learning and development opportunities to build a leadership skill set
- Partner with the Store Manager to reinforce Under Armour policies and procedures
- Lead/support a division of responsibility (DOR) to assist in overall store efficiency
- Advanced math, literacy, and advanced communication skills
- Fluency in the local language and basic verbal English skills
- Proficiency in the use of computers and other technologies
- Knowledge of employment laws, including compliance with federal, state, and local requirements
- One year of work experience in a retail clothing and athletic footwear environment
- One year of supervisory experience in retail
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Availability to work flexible hours, including holidays, evenings, and weekends
- Able to handle or move products weighing up to 25 lb/12 kg
- Able to stand and move for long periods with short breaks to handle products
- Able to access all areas of the store, including the sales floor, stockroom, and checkout area
