We are currently seeking a hardworking and reliable Contract Loader to join our team in Funchal Portugal. As a loader you will be responsible for loading and unloading goods onto trucks or containers for transport. This is a physically demanding role that requires lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts or other loading equipment to load and unload goods
- Inspect goods for damage or defects before loading
- Securely fasten goods using straps, chains or other methods to prevent shifting during transport
- Maintain accurate records of loaded goods and their destinations
- Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a loader preferred but not required
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
- Familiarity with loading equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks etc
- Detail-oriented with good record keeping skills
- Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors
If you are physically fit, have good organizational skills, and enjoy working as part of a team.
Working Conditions
This is a contract position with a salary of 1400$ per month. You will be expected to work full-time hours on a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. The work environment may be noisy, dusty or outdoors depending on the type of goods being handled.
