Head Receptionist

Costa da Caparica | Full-time | Permanent | On-site | Start: January 2027 | €19,460 gross/year + Performance bonus (based on guest reviews/OTA)

Hotel Praia do Sol is a 51-room independent lifestyle hotel in Costa da Caparica, inspired by Atlantic culture, local fishing heritage and surf life. Opening in January 2027, we are looking for a Head Receptionist to lead our 24/7 front desk team.

The role

Lead and schedule the reception team, working hands‑on at the desk, including weekends.

Set up front office standards and the property management system before opening.

Handle arrivals, departures, guest requests and bookings at the desk.

Manage billing, cash control and end‑of‑day reporting.

Work closely with the General Manager, housekeeping, maintenance and the restaurant.

About you

Experienced hotel receptionist ready to lead a team; boutique hotel experience is a plus.

Confident with hotel property management systems.

Fluent in Portuguese and English, other language spoken is a plus.

Warm, organised, calm under pressure and available for rotating shifts, including weekends.

Help open a new independent hotel and shape its welcome from day one, with room to grow into a new lifestyle‑hospitality group.
