Job DescriptionThe primary duty of the professional involves monitoring, maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting daily remote access technologies. The professional must be capable to manage performance and rectify any errors that occur within the Citrix XenApp and dependent services such as F5 Big-IP (APM Module) and Citrix NetScaler. The professional should be able to provide all the necessary support for Citrix Infrastructure including, but not limited to Citrix XenApp, Citrix User Profile Management, Citrix Federated Authentication Services and Citrix ADC (formerly known as Citrix NetScaler).
QualificationsCitrix Engineer provides high-class troubleshooting and solutions to problems relating to Unit4's Citrix platform. The individual maintains and monitors how the Citrix XenApp, applications on it, and co-dependent services perform.
Citrix Engineer should demonstrate proficiency and be familiar with:
- Minimum 2-3 Years of experience in Citrix Administration with multiple sites and farms.
- Be able to communicate fluently in English, both written and verbal and to communicate technical concepts effectively.
- Good technical knowledge depth on Microsoft Operating Systems.
- Good technical and problem and application analytical Skills on XenApp 7.x.
- Knowledge of Citrix NetScaler SDX & VPX/ Storefront / Web Interface / Director / Citrix User Profile Management / Citrix Federated Authentication Service and the communication between them and the rest of the Citrix farm.
- Good understanding of Citrix Licensing.
- Capable to resolve the security-based problems related to Citrix Platform.
Preferred (not required)
- Sound knowledge of virtualization technologies Hyper-V, VMWare, Cloud – Azure.
- Knowledge on ICA HDX clients and possible connection scenarios to the Citrix XenApp farm.
- Knowledge and experience in the administration of Virtual Infrastructure.
- Sound knowledge of Active Directory Domain services, DNS, DHCP, GPO, OU and security group management.
