DevOps Engineer | Join a Fast-Growing FoodTech Startup in Madrid

Are you a DevOps Engineer passionate about cloud technologies, infrastructure automation, and scaling systems in a dynamic environment? Join our innovative team at Take a Chef and help shape the future of culinary experiences across the globe. We are looking for a proactive and skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team in Madrid.

If you have:

Solid experience managing Linux systems.

Expertise in containers (Docker/Podman).

Hands-on knowledge of public clouds (AWS/GCP).

Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform preferred).

Shell scripting (Bash/Python/PHP).

Strong know-how in MySQL database administration and optimization.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket/GitLab CI/CD).

Fluent Spanish & Intermediate English skills.

Additionally, we're looking for someone with:

About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer at Take a Chef, you will be responsible for optimizing and scaling our infrastructure, building and maintaining our CI/CD pipelines, and automating workflows to ensure smooth and efficient development cycles. You will work closely with our engineering and product teams to create a robust, reliable, and scalable infrastructure to support our platform's growth.

This is a full-time role based in Madrid. You'll be part of a fast-paced, collaborative team that values initiative, learning, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and scale Linux systems for our cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployment.
  • Implement and optimize containerization using Docker/Podman.
  • Work with AWS or GCP environments, ensuring infrastructure is efficient and cost-effective.
  • Use Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code tools to automate infrastructure provisioning.
  • Optimize and maintain MySQL databases for performance, scalability, and availability.
  • Write efficient and maintainable shell scripts (Bash/Python/PHP).
  • Monitor and ensure system reliability, performance, and uptime.

Requirements:

  • Solid experience in managing Linux systems.
  • Expertise in containerization (Docker/Podman).
  • Hands-on knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (preferably Terraform).
  • Strong background in shell scripting (Bash/Python/PHP).
  • Expertise in MySQL database administration and optimization.

  • Fluent in Spanish and Intermediate English.
