Senior Merchandiser

As a Senior Merchandiser you will be responsible for managing the buying and selling process of products in our retail store in Funchal Your primary goal will be to ensure that our store is stocked with quality merchandise that meets the demands of our customers You will work closely with suppliers and vendors to negotiate prices quantity and delivery schedules to maintain profitable margins

Responsibilities

• Create merchandise plans based on customer demand and sales trends
• Manage the buying process by sourcing products from local and international suppliers
• Negotiate prices quantity and delivery schedules with suppliers to ensure profitability
• Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for restocking or discontinuing products
• Analyze sales data to identify top-selling products and opportunities for growth
• Collaborate with visual merchandisers to create appealing product displays
• Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends competition and customer preferences
• Develop relationships with new vendors in order to expand product offerings

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred
• Proven experience as a Merchandiser or in a similar role
• In-depth knowledge of retail buying processes and strategies
• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Salary 1700$ monthly with accommodation
