Entry‑Level Carpenter in Funchal
A reputable construction company in Funchal is seeking an entry‑level Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. The successful candidate will have a passion for carpentry and a desire to learn and grow in the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials according to blueprints or instructions
- Install structures or fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim
- Cut materials to specified measurements using hand or power tools
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines while working on construction sites
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine layout of walls, ceilings, or floors
- Collaborate with other construction workers to complete projects within deadlines
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in carpentry (apprenticeship or internship experience accepted)
- Basic understanding of carpentry techniques and methods
- Ability to read blueprints and follow technical drawings
- Familiarity with hand/power tools
- Physically fit with good manual dexterity
Salary: $1000 per month with accommodation provided.
