Job Description

The Clinical Territory Associate (CTA) works closely with the Clinical Sales Manager to become a da Vinci® Surgery technical and sales expert across all primary surgical specialties. During the first year the CTA focuses on technical and clinical aspects while in the second year the focus shifts to sales, supporting a region by maximizing utilization of installed da Vinci® Surgical Systems through product demonstrations, in‑services, and sales activities.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Case Support – Provide guidance, insight, and training to the surgical team on the use of the da Vinci® Surgical System.
  • Product Demonstrations/In‑Services – Lead all technical in‑services for customers, including OR staff, surgeons, etc.
  • Selling Activities – Contribute to the Clinical Sales Manager’s quarterly sales goals by influencing customer behavior through product demonstrations, OR selling activities, and customer support trainings.
  • Customer Support – Support or coordinate regional sales and marketing development events that create system awareness and procedure adoption through demonstrations, in‑services, and selling activities.
  • Administrative Duties – Manage reporting of sales, procedures, and outcomes, submit expense reports, and complete assigned ISU online modules using company software systems.
  • Medical Device Consultant – After appropriate training, act as a Medical Device Consultant, providing guidance on proper handling of Intuitive medical devices as required by law.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 1 year of sales experience or 1 year of leadership experience.
  • Fluent in English and the local language as required.
  • Ambition and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to excel in a high‑energy, fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and persuasive communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sales degree a plus.
