Within the COO scope, the goal of the AI Tech Lab is to identify, prioritize and deliver innovative AI solutions, supporting business lines. Euronext is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Scientist with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Science and Machine Learning, preferably with experience in NLP, Generative AI, LLMs, MLOps, Optimization techniques, and AI solution Architecture to build and lead the AI Tech Lab of the Group. In this role you will be key role in leading the development and implementation of AI solutions, leveraging your technical expertise. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of AI technologies and experience in designing and implementing cutting-edge AI models and systems. Additionally, expertise in data engineering, DevOps, and MLOps practices will be valuable in this role. Reporting to the Digital, Group Data and AI CTO, the ideal candidate will have a natural leadership, strong Data Science experience with a focus on Generative AI. The selected candidate will be responsible for building and running the architecture, the team organization, the tooling, and the practices necessary to deliver innovative AI solutions to our Business Lines, leveraging modern data platforms and methodologies.

Key Accountabilities

The key accountabilities for this role are:

  • Team Building and Leadership: Lead the recruitment and development of a talented and diverse team of Data Science and AI specialists. Cultivate a collaborative and innovative team culture that encourages knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and professional development.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for advancing the company's AI capabilities, with a specific focus on Generative AI applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging AI and Data Science to drive business growth, enhance operational efficiency, and improve the customer experience.
  • End to End delivery of Services: Ensure you and your team participates in the full lifecycle implementation of modern data platforms from requirements analysis, platform selection, technical architecture design, application design and development, till testing, and deployment, ensuring robustness, scalability, security and efficiency in data-driven decision-making processes.
  • AI and Data Innovation: Champion the development of AI-driven solutions that are tailored to the preferences, behaviors, and needs of Gen AI. Collaborate with Business, Innovation and Product teams to integrate AI-focused features and functionalities into our IT service delivery, ensuring alignment with market demands and regulatory requirements. Oversee market watch activities to stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in data science and AI, ensuring that our platforms remain at the forefront of innovation.
  • Business Growth and Acceleration: Partner with executive leadership to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for measuring the impact of AI and Data Science initiatives on business growth and market competitiveness. Contribute to the adoption and implementation of AI-driven solutions across various business functions, supporting the company's accelerated growth trajectory.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Science and Machine Learning.
  • In-depth knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI techniques.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Strong understanding of NLP techniques and frameworks such as BERT, GPT, or Transformer models.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • Knowledge in data engineering, including data curation, cleaning, and preprocessing.
  • Strong collaboration with software engineering and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of AI models.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Track record of driving innovation and staying updated with the latest AI research and advancements.
  • Proven experience in leading AI teams, with a track record of successful project delivery and team management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving business impact through technological innovation.
