About the location:

Lisbon's most iconic address. Located in the heart of Lisbon, our historic Hotel wears the cultural heart and soul of Portugal on its sleeve. Inside, art-deco sensibilities mingle with an updated Louis XVI style, and a collection of important contemporary local artwork fills our halls. Outside, views of the city's rolling hills and brightly tiled exteriors spread out before you. After spending the day exploring the city sights, many just steps from the Hotel, we invite you for a seasonally inspired, Michelin-starred gastronomic experience at CURA restaurant.

About the role

We are seeking an exceptional and results-driven Director of Public Relations to lead our luxury Four Seasons Hotel's public relations. This role is pivotal in shaping the hotel's image, driving awareness, and fostering a positive reputation through innovative PR, social media and digital marketing initiatives.

What you will do

Strategic Leadership

  1. Develop and execute an integrated, strategic annual plan for public relations and social media to align with the hotel's business objectives.
  2. Lead proactive and creative programs that identify and leverage unique, newsworthy opportunities to elevate the hotel's presence.

Public Relations & Media Management

  1. Build and maintain strong professional relationships with local, regional and international media and influencers to generate consistent coverage.
  2. Pitch targeted story ideas, organize media visits, coordinate interviews, and host familiarization trips to highlight the hotel's offerings.
  3. Ensure timely posting of press releases and story starters on the Four Seasons Press Room.
  4. Act as a strategic advisor on reputation management, monitoring public attitudes and managing issues or crisis communications.

Social Media & Digital Strategy

  1. Oversee and innovate the hotel's digital and social media strategy, curating engaging content that reflects our brand's DNA.
  2. Manage all property social media channels, increasing follower engagement and elevating the brand's digital presence.
  3. Actively co-manage the hotel's proprietary website, ensuring content is current, aligned with business goals and optimized for SEO.
  4. Collaborate on PPC campaigns, e-commerce initiatives, and digital storytelling to drive traffic and revenue.

Collaborative Marketing

  1. Partner with F&B and Spa teams to design and execute promotional campaigns that support revenue objectives.
  2. Coordinate with third-party agencies, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and maximizing opportunities for exposure.
  3. Manage content for third-party platforms and partner websites to ensure accurate representation of the hotel.

Content Creation & Image Management

  1. Maintain a comprehensive image library to ensure consistent, high-quality visual representation.
  2. Oversee photo and video shoots, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
  3. Pursue and integrate user-generated content, collaborating with influencers and leveraging social media tools effectively.

Community & Corporate Relations

  1. Lead community relations, CSR initiatives, and internal communications to strengthen the hotel's reputation as a valued community partner.
  2. Serve as a liaison with corporate communications teams, pitching stories and engaging in group-wide initiatives.

What you bring

  1. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 5-7 years of proven experience in public relations, social media, or marketing communications, preferably within the luxury or hospitality sector.
  3. Strong media relations experience with established connections that deliver measurable results.
  4. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with an ability to create compelling narratives.
  5. Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics, including photography and visual storytelling.
  6. Proficiency in leveraging social media platforms and analytics tools to monitor and optimize performance.
  7. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and excel under pressure.
  8. Expertise in SEO, PPC, and digital marketing strategies is highly preferred.
  9. Adept at collaborating with diverse teams and managing third-party agencies and vendors.
