to implement and support S/4HANA Public Cloud DevOps initiatives.
Work setup:
Hybrid - Porto/Gaia (3-4 days per month in the office)
Responsibilities
- Deliver clean-core extensions using RAP for in-app extensibility and CAP for side-by-side development.
- Design and implement RAP services, CAP microservices, CPI iFlows, secure APIs, and RESTful integrations.
- Build UI5/Fiori extensions, Fiori Elements applications, CPQ scripts, Adobe Forms, and workflow automation.
- Develop integration logic using Groovy, XSLT, JSON/XML payload handling, custom fields, and backend layout changes.
- Ensure integration reliability through error handling, retry patterns, idempotency, observability, logs, alerts, and dashboards.
- Set up automated testing, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, perform code reviews, and maintain versioned documentation/runbooks.
- Apply secure coding standards, secrets management, least-privilege access, and performance tuning across SAP cloud components.
- Support root-cause analysis, capacity planning, BTP consumption monitoring, and stakeholder communication on technical trade-offs.
Must-have requirements
- 4+ years of proven experience as an SAP Cloud Developer with ABAP.
- Strong experience with ABAP for Cloud, RAP, CDS, OData, and BAdI for in-app extensibility.
- Experience with CAP on SAP BTP using Node.Js and/or Java.
- Hands-on experience with SAP CPI iFlows, Groovy scripting, Value/Content Modifiers, and Exception Subprocess.
- Knowledge of SAP Cloud SDK, Destinations/XSUAA, Event Mesh, and Cloud Foundry deployments.
- Ability to translate MM/SD/CPQ functional needs into scalable, secure API and extension designs.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
