EMESA L&D Coordinator

The Learning and Development Coordinator will have a key role in the coordination, operational quality, and execution of our EMESA regional training offer and projects. The training events are essential for consulting staff in building core capabilities, helping them to develop their regional network and providing them affiliation and networking opportunities. Additionally, there will be opportunity to drive forward relevant functional projects to implement operational and strategic priorities.
You will:
- Run multiple training events and projects across the calendar year. Program sizes range from around 30 to 300 participants and take place throughout the year in a variety of formats: virtual sessions, blended learning, hybrid and in person events in locations across Europe
- Be working closely with both internal and external stakeholders, to ensure operationally the events (virtual, hybrid or live setting) run to an exceptionally high standard that are enjoyable and memorable for the learner
- As event/project owner, be working with teams who will be supporting you in organizing this training
- Work closely as a thought partner with the wider team, the content managers, and key stakeholders, to ensure the learner experience is valued and being delivered in the right way
- Feel comfortable working with different internal (MDPs, PAs, Meetings & Events, …) and external stakeholders (e.g hotels, outsourcing service companies, facilitators, different people teams, innovation team, etc.) to set up great learning experiences
- Need to understand BCG’s strategy, business and learner’s needs and use those data points to implement our L&D activities as our business evolves
YOU'RE GOOD AT
- We are looking for someone who relishes working in an internationally diverse team
- An individual who has a passion for delivering outstanding customer service, is highly organised, is energised and skilled by organizing and hosting events (be that virtually, hybrid, or in person)
- You thrive working autonomously but also love to collaborate – you are self-driven, anticipating challenges or bottlenecks and planning effectively around them
- Building working relationships and quickly gain trust with your key stakeholders
- You are very organised and efficient– in essence, you have strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly complex problems, projects, and stakeholders
- Keeping an open mind, positively embracing change and comfortable trying out new things
- Handle multiple tasks at one time and that you have the experience in adapting to last minute changes and demands
- Acting as thought partner and trusted person to those you work with, whether it’s leaders or colleagues who seek advice or ideas
- Skilled and able to learn new technologies and systems quickly, is confident and comfortable in a virtual setting as well as being prepared to deliver outstanding service in any onsite event
- Some travel will be required, and you will therefore need to be passionate about exploring new places, meeting new people and someone who is keen to develop and challenge themselves in a global team setting.
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
We are looking for this person to have:
- A passion and interest in Learning & Development
- A degree in any discipline, although vocational training in Event Management/Hotel/Tourism or bachelor’s degree is an advantage
- 2-4 years’ work experience in an operations role within professional services is preferred
- Good understanding of BCG business and learners’ needs and how to translate that into L&D actions
- Skilled and trained on a variety of technical tools used for virtual events (virtual-live or online courses/meetings; as video conferencing, collaborative, and communication tools, e.g., Zoom, Slack, Trello, Outlook, Sales Force Marketing Cloud, Survey tools, etc.)
- Organisational skills, and the ability to think big whilst considering all the detail, often at the same time
- Prior experience in organizing virtual/online meetings would be relevant
- Fluency in the English language (oral and written)
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (including PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word)

A passionate and dedicated Learning & Development team, who are currently spread across Europe and India. As a complex matrix structured organisation, you will also work with L&D teams in our local systems across our regions as well as with counterparts and colleagues in our Global L&D teams. You will establish strong relationships across our people functions and beyond to successfully learn, educate and influence others.
