NAM has around 900 employees and more than 475 Nordic and international institutional clients.Since 2020, we have worked on building and strengthening our Governance Capabilities within the Technology space, and we now look for a Sourcing & Technology Governance Specialist to support us in maturing our IT governance framework, to make it robust for the ongoing digital transformation, while still keeping focus on the sound governance of IT systems, IT processes and third-parties.About this opportunityWelcome to Sourcing & Technology Governance team in NAM. We are part of Sourcing, Security & Technology Governance (SSTG) unit, and we add value by ensuring regulatory compliance and operational business support. We ensure clear and transparent accountability and responsibility for our IT systems, that the quality of IT processes and IT services continuously meet the needs and requirements of the key stakeholders, i.e. Business, Customers and Regulators.As Sourcing & Technology Governance Specialist, you’ll play a valuable role in supporting the NAM organisation to comply with regulatory requirements and legislation, through operational implementation of the IT governance framework, assessment and assurance activities related to policies, standards and controls for IT security and IT governance.What you’ll be doingIT Governance Framework:Continuously develop and maintain the NAM’s IT governance framework and operating model to ensure it is resilient and compliant with regulatory requirements;Work closely with Business and Technology stakeholders (e.g. Application Owners, Application Providers, IT management) to ensure NAM’s IT applications, IT processes and third-parties adhere to relevant policy requirements, standards and controls.Assist and advise NAM stakeholders on IT governance matters, e.g. practical implementation of IT governance policies and controls; training and awareness about NAM’s IT governance framework.Application Lifecycle Management:Coordinate and follow up with Business and Technology teams on timely and accurate execution of application management tasks, e.g. application registration in central IT asset register, sound application lifecycle management (from sourcing to decommissioning);Advise and assist Business and Technology teams in implementation and monitoring of IT- and information security controls in IT applications and IT processes.Advise and assist Business and Technology teams in assessing and managing the risks pertaining to control deficiencies in IT applications and IT processes.Advisory and Business Support:Act as ambassador and promote efficient, accurate and compliant IT operations and IT management in NAM;Act as coordinator, supervise or facilitate larger IT governance initiatives across NAM organisation (e.g. implementation of a new standard operating procedure);Influence and advise Business and Technology teams on sound IT risk management practices and oversee compliance with the NAM’s IT risk management framework requirements.You’ll join a motivated and engaged team of professionals, who take pride in the continuous development of the Asset Management organisation to be fit for technology and data-enabled future. These are the values that guide us in being at our best – and that we imagine you share with us.To succeed in this role, we believe that you:Are innovative, interested in IT framework and modern IT service management.Possess solid communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to collaborate effectively across the value chain and with multiple organisational stakeholders and partners (e.g. Application Owners) in communicating, translating and operationalizing complex IT governance matters.Are pragmatic and compromise seeking and able to handle complex situations.Have personal attitude and motivation for achieving results combined with an ability to plan your own and others’ work, including identify, define and solve IT governance matters to meet agreed deadlines.Have solid analytical skills and a structured and methodical approach to tasks.Able to work self-motivated and as an enthusiastic team member and enjoy a changing and high pace work environment.Fluency in English (spoken and written).Your experience and background:Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or related field.Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience working with IT service management, application management, IT security, risk management, and ensuring governance around these areas.Familiar with operational implementation of international information security standards, such as ISO 27001, COBIT or NIST.Familiar with international standards and best practice frameworks within IT governance, such as ISO 35800 or similar and operational implementation of these.Knowledge of IT-, security- and operational risk regulation and frameworks.Analytical competence to assess business and technical needs for project management.Good business understanding and knowledge of investment management or asset management business domain (or a similar field).Good understanding of the general regulatory and governance framework applicable to the financial sector.If this sounds like you, get in touchNext stepsSubmit your application no later than 31/08/2024.At Nordea, we know that an inclusive workplace is a sustainable workplace.
